maximized experience of public and private through the scales of spaces
YEAR : 2014 Fall
INSTRUCTOR : Sal Tranchina

The Pratt dormitory takes advantage of the contrasting scale between the public and private spaces to enhance the feeling of privacy in the residences and the sense of community in the shared spaces. Planned from a 10 ft x 10 ft grid, the dormitory provides a bathroom, washer / dryer, a balcony, and a kitchen to be shared by three people, as well as a spacious student lounge, restaurant space, a gallery, and a garden.
